Five Little Joys - A Personal Reflection
I’ve been feeling a little down lately, wishing I had started this blog sooner. It’s easy to get caught up in “what if I had…” or “I should have…” — but God has been quietly reminding me to slow down and be thankful for where I am right now.
The truth is, everything is unfolding in His timing. I don’t need to push or force it — my job is to stay faithful, keep showing up, and appreciate the small blessings He gives me daily. The rest will take care of itself through Him.
So here are five little joys from this week that made me pause and smile:
-
Morning sunrise from my office window — because it really is the small things.
-
Family fish fry night — the kind where you leave with a full stomach and a full heart.
-
A chapter that made me laugh out loud (thank you, Lauren Graham, aka Lorelei).
Midnight thunderstorms — because there's a rainbow on the other side of the storm.
-
A quiet evening with no plans except to read, pray, and be still.
Sometimes the best encouragement is just to remember — this moment is enough.
And so am I, because of Him. ✝️
