From the start, this book had me hooked — and I wasn’t trying to guess the ending because it was too much fun just letting the story roll. But the reveal? Kev and Amber as a serial killer duo — I never would have seen it coming.

The happy ending epilogue hit all the right notes, especially with Josie finally ending up with Trey. While Amber showed plenty of red flags along the way, the pacing kept things moving so quickly that I didn’t stop to overanalyze them in the moment.

Josie’s final actions cemented my respect for her character: calling in SWAT, securing the critical recording, and walking away from her toxic job to follow her passion — becoming a private investigator. It felt like justice and personal empowerment wrapped into one.

The neatness of the conclusion was refreshing. Every thread tied up, every question answered — no wondering what happened to anyone or any subplot.

This was pure escapist fun — the kind of book you binge in one sitting, then immediately start telling your friends about. And as the story proves… karma’s a B.

Just a few short months ago, on April 25, 2025, I said goodbye to my 12 year old husky hybrid, McCloud. He was 12 years, 4 months, and 17 days to be exact.
